TRUMPF Automated Systems- Punching Machines- TruPunch 5000 / TruMatic 6000

With add-on Automation components it's not only possible to achieve "Lights out" processing, it's possible to achieve a world-class manufacturing system. With add-on Automation components it's not only possible to achieve "Lights out" processing, it's possible to achieve a world-class manufacturing system.

The Flexible Manufacturing Center (FMC) is a modular sheet-processing unit. The heart of the unit is a Punching Machine (TruPunch 5000 or a Combination Laser Punch). Connected to it are automation components for loading and unloading, sorting, tool changing and storage. The Punching Machine can be expanded to create a flexible sheet processing system. The configuration stages of the FMC can be adapted to your exact needs.

Description of Automation Components
SheetMaster-

The SheetMaster is an automation module, which facilitates material handling.

The SheetMaster includes the GripMaster, which removes scrap skeletons and remainder strips from the machine and places them on a scissors table.

Automation: Loading With the SheetMaster, the punching machines can be loaded with new sheets and the finished workpieces off-loaded automatically.

Sequence: The machine resumes production as soon as the SheetMaster has removed the part. The SheetMaster assures that finished parts are deposited on the unloading platform in an orderly fashion. Similarly, while the GripMaster is removing the scrap skeleton, the SheetMaster can already be loading the next sheet. The loading and unloading operations are programmable and are run automatically without the operator's intervention.

Optimum coordination: The SheetMaster and GripMaster, with their optimized operation sequences, transform your TruPunch or TruMatic machine into a flexible, highly productive and economical manufacturing cell.

Dual Carts-

Two double carts are employed for the loading and unloading procedure. One double cart holds unprocessed material ready, the other double cart takes processed workpieces. This means that both the amount of unprocessed material and the unloading capacity can be doubled.

For the loading operation, one level of the loading cart is always active. This means that the second, non-active level can be loaded manually in productive time. As soon as the last sheet has been removed, the active level of the loading cart is driven out of the safety range and replaced by a full level exchanged.

The sorting of processed work-pieces in X-direction is carried out by the SheetMaster; sorting in Y-direction is undertaken by the unloading cart. If a stack height of 200 mm has been reached on the active level, the other level, which is standing by, moves in automatically. Manual unloading is then possible in productive time. To enable this, the level to be unloaded is moved out of the range, which is protected with light barriers.

ToolMaster (40)/(70)-
The basic machine has a tool magazine with a maximum of 21 tool stations. 40 or 70 further stations with the ToolMaster can increase the tool capacity. This means that there are enough tools available for the execution of several sheet jobs. Tool replacement takes place automatically.
