Hüttinger's range of products is extremely wide and includes dc power supplies and radio-frequency generators for laser, induction and vacuum technology. Applications:
- Induction heating
Induction heat is based on the physical effect whereby all electrically conductive materials such as metals, graphite and, under certain conditions, ceramics, heat up very quickly and efficiently when exposed to a high frequency electro-magnetic field. Application examples include
- Hardening of automotive parts
- Welding of turbine impellers
- Seeding artificial diamonds
- Sealing bottles, cans and tubes

The term "plasma applications" refers to processes for selectively altering the surface of different materials under vacuum through the use of energy and gases.

Laser excitation
The Hüttinger Group's radio frequency generators for laser excitation serve as "energy pumps" to stimulate laser sources. Of course, they also help the CO2 lasers from TRUMPF to attain output levels which allow centimeter-thick sheets to be processed quickly and accurately.
