With laser outputs greater than 5 kW and beam qualities of less than 25-mm mrad, TRUMPF Inc. builds the most powerful lamp-pumped solid-state lasers in the world. Twenty percent of the laser power is reserved for lamp aging and beam guidance, so that the availability of specific laser outputs at the workpiece is guaranteed. The CW lasers from TRUMPF are adapted to application requirements via beam quality.
The HL 353 D, HL 703 D and HL 1003 D produce an excellent beam quality of 12 mm * mrad and the HL 1504 D of 16 mm * mrad, perfect for cutting. CW laser units with 600 µm cables are mainly used for welding applications. Use of the laser light cable means that they can be flexibly integrated into production lines, and also easily combined with industrial robots. With laser outputs of 2 kW and up, highly reflective materials with good thermal-conducting properties such as aluminum and copper are easily welded. The HL-series features the latest in LCU control generation, which forms the basis for Telepresence.

New products in the field of high power lasers are the diode-pumped solid-state lasers: HLD 1003, HLD 3504 and HLD 4506. Excitation via laser diodes enables machine efficiency of greater than 10 % and performance up to 1 kW per cavity. The HLD-series is equipped with laser light cables and features the latest in LCU control generation, which forms the basis for Telepresence.. The laser, supply and cooler units are all constantly monitored and operating data can be accessed at any time via modem.
