Photonics West 2008 |

|  | TRUMPF recently completed a successful trip to the Photonics West 2008 tradeshow, which took place January 22-24, in San Jose, California. At this year’s event, TRUMPF highlighted the versatility of its thin disk laser concept, from multi-kW operation to amplification of ultra-fast pulses without CPA. In booth #6130, TRUMPF featured lasers from its TruMicro Series 5000 and 7000, TruMark Series 3000, as well as the TruFiber 300.

In addition to the TRUMPF exhibit at Photonics West, Peter Leibinger, vice president of TRUMPF’s Management Board and head of the Laser Technology and Electronics division was a keynote speaker at the 2008 Photonics West Laser & Photonics Marketplace Seminar which took place on January 21st. Mr. Leibinger’s keynote address: ‘Photonics: is the best yet to come?’ explored whether new laser sources will be able to fill the gap when alternative sources are not available to complete a job.
