TRUMPF Invites You to Move “Full Speed Ahead” in Automotive Manufacturing

TRUMPF will host an Open House and Technical Symposium at their Laser Technology Center in Plymouth Township, Michigan on May 15-16, 2008.

The event will feature the TruLaser Cell 7040, the fastest and most flexible multi-axis laser processing machine on the market. Increased speed and acceleration combined with innovative features allow part processing times to be reduced by up to 50%. The dual-station mode enables simultaneous loading or tooling setup while components are processed. A user-friendly, adjustable operating panel makes part setup easy. In the event of a collision with the workpiece, the dynamic cutting head is designed to automatically detach and after replacement, requires no realignment to resume production.

In addition to high speed 3D cutting on the TruLaser Cell 7040, featured machine demonstrations will include deep penetration welding, robotic remote welding, fine cutting, burst mode scanner welding and laser marking. During the Technical Symposium on May 16th, machine demonstrations will accompany several presentations on laser welding and cutting for the automotive industry. Companies specializing in laser integration, automation, and processing solutions will also be exhibiting during the entire event.

The Open House will begin at 5:30 pm on May 15th, at the conclusion of the Automotive Laser Applications Workshop (ALAW). The Technical Symposium will take place May 16th from 8:30 am – 3:00 pm. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged.
