FARMINGTON, Conn., June 3, 2003 – Effective July 1, 2003, Walter Haimerl will assume the role of director of sales and marketing for the TRUMPF Laser Technology Center in Plymouth, Michigan.
Formerly the director of sales and marketing for TRUMPF Rohrtechnik GmbH + Co. KG, Reutlingen, Germany, Mr. Haimerl began his career at TRUMPF in 1987 as a service technician for worldwide installations of laser and punching machines. Also at the TRUMPF Group in Germany, Mr. Haimerl worked in the export department and led task force operations in the technical support and service department.
In addition, Mr. Haimerl has extensive experience with TRUMPF’s Asian operations. In 1989, Mr. Haimerl set up an organization for the promotion of TRUMPF sales and service activities in Taiwan. From 1991 to 1995, he was responsible for setting up the TRUMPF sales and service facilities in Singapore and Malaysia.
TRUMPF is the world’s largest manufacturer and integrator of CO2 and Nd:YAG laser resonators. TRUMPF’s Laser Technology Center in Plymouth, Michigan specializes in stand-alone lasers for customized systems, multi-axis laser systems, and both pulsed and continuous wave (cw), low-power and high-power solid-state Nd:YAG lasers.
