More than 150 guests from over 70 companies traveled to Plymouth, Michigan to attend the TRUMPF Laser Technology Days at the TRUMPF Inc. Laser Technology Center last month. The guests included customers, integrators, suppliers and journalists, who were in town for ALAW, the Automotive Laser Application Workshop.
The highlights of the event were the introductions of the disk laser and the TCF 1 diffusion-cooled CO2 laser to the North American market. Guests from the automotive industry marveled at the high quality of the laser welds displayed on the Body-In-White of the latest VW model, the Golf V.
The event included presentations by representatives from TRUMPF Laser GmbH + Co. KG in Schramberg, Germany, TRUMPF Laser and Systemtechnik GmbH + Co. KG in Ditzingen, Germany, TRUMPF Inc. in Farmington, Connecticut, and Soudronic in Neftenbach Germany. Also, throughout the two-day event, thirteen companies, representing TRUMPF suppliers and integrators, showcased their products and services with tabletop displays.
The technical presentations were followed by practical product demonstrations on the TC L 2530 Plus, LASMA, PowerWeld, TLC 1005, and VMc6 during which customers and integrators learned more about new technological innovations.
