Join us July 14 to 16, 2004 in San Jose, California for the SemiCon West 2004 show, where TRUMPF will highlight their precision laser marking technology and applications to the semiconductor industry.
On exhibit in booth 9613 will be the TRUMPF VectorMark compact laser marking system. The VectorMark non-contact laser marking system can be used to mark plastic and metal substrates and can be set up for either static or integrated marking installations. The VectorMark’s outstanding beam quality results in high accuracy.
Experts will be available to discuss traceability and laser marking. “Traceability requirements in the semiconductor industry are becoming more stringent and areas for part identification and marking are getting smaller. Many integrated circuit manufacturers are changing from human readable text to 2D matrix forms of marking,” explains Tim Edwards, laser marking systems product manager. “VectorMark© systems offer the flexibility and fine resolution necessary to successfully mark very small codes with extremely high information density, so that serial numbers, lot and date code information, can be easily traced.
TRUMPF’s state-of-the-art VectorMark diode-pumped systems are also well-known for easy reproducibility and good accessibility in even hard-to-reach locations. The high-speed laser marking technology shortens processing times and improves contrast without surface damage.
