FARMINGTON, Conn., January 19, 2007 – At Photonics West 2007 in San Jose, booth 6115, TRUMPF will demonstrate their broad spectrum of industrial laser expertise. The display of laser technology includes a diode-pumped solid state laser, diffraction limited micromachining laser, pulsed solid state laser, diffusion cooled CO2 laser, and diode pumped solid-state laser marking system.
The highlight of TRUMPF’s exhibit is the latest advancement in disk laser technology, the TruDisk 8002. With eight kilowatts of power, the TruDisk 8002 offers high beam quality, efficient performance and exceptional beam quality. The wall plug electrical structure increases efficiency up to 25 percent when compared to traditional designs. The modular concept makes it very easy for components to be exchanged yielding high reliability.
The TruDisk 8002 is especially useful for welding difficult tasks on thick sheet metal especially for heavy industry. It can process nearly any material and even highly reflective materials like copper or aluminum are processed without difficulties The TruDisk 8002 is also suited for other applications including automotive manufacturing.
