FARMINGTON, Conn., January 3, 2008 – With a focus on products and applications for the coil line industry, TRUMPF will exhibit its portfolio of portable power tools at METALFORM 2008, booth 336, taking place April 1-3 in Birmingham, Ala. At the show, TRUMPF will highlight the N700-2 Nibbler, the world’s smallest and lightest nibbler in the heavy-duty class. Also on display will be the C250-0 Plus Double-Cut Shear and the S250-6 Electric Shear. The highlight of TRUMPF’s N700-2 Nibbler is its ability to rotate the punch guide, allowing the nibbler to cut in a backwards direction which enables the operator to pull the tool towards her/him; an excellent safety feature. It comes standard with two different handles than can be exchanged quickly, and punch changes require no tools. The nibbler easily cuts 0.275-inch thick steel and 0.106-inch thick stainless steel for a wide range of applications. The C250-0 PLUS Double-Cut Shear is the quickest and most powerful shear in its class. Innovative gear technology delivers the power to cut sheet metal up to 0.098-inch thick with a working speed of 32 feet per minute. The tool is ideal for spiral duct applications. TRUMPF’s S250-6 Electric Shears feature a powerful motor and an excellent cutter, resulting in minimal force for the operator, as well as burr and chip-free cutting and minimal noise emission.
