Storage System’s serve as a buffer for the material and the work-pieces, and takes over the function of linking the flexible manufacturing cells and other sheet metal working machines connected.
Procedure for both types of storage:
As soon as the operator of the machine starts a job, the shelf servicing device removes the pallet with the unprocessed material and places it ready for use on a storage output station. A transport cart drives the pallet into the loading position, which feeds individual sheets to the machine.
All processing stages are carried out without the input of the operating personnel. The whole unit is monitored by sensors and controlled by computer. Production plans coordinate the automatic running between the basic machine and the system components. They allow the direct execution of jobs via several NC programs. The selection of the production plan is done via the user interface of the control system or NCLink, a programmer’s tool for creating the production table. Production plans can be created, modified and sorted there.
Goods In
To load sheet packages into the storage system, an empty palette is called up by entering the corresponding pallet number. It is then set down from the shelf-servicing device onto the scissors table cart. This moves out of the safety range of the storage system for the purpose of loading, and returns with the loaded pallet. The shelf-servicing device stores the pallet.
Goods Out
After the number of the pallet required has been entered, the pallet, loaded with a sheet package, is set down from the shelf servicing device onto the scissors table cart and driven out of the safety range of the storage system. |
