TRUMPF at FABTECH Mexico 2016

FARMINGTON, Conn., April 15, 2016 – In booth 2704 at FABTECH Mexico, TRUMPF will feature the latest solutions in fabricating technology including the TruLaser 3030 fiber laser cutting machine, the recently redesigned TruBend 5130 press brake, the TruPunch 2000 punching machine, a TruMark 5010 marking laser in a TruMark Station 3000, and TRUMPF’s TruTool power tools. The event takes place May 4-6, 2016, at the Centro Banamex in Mexico City, Mexico.

The TruLaser 3030 fiber is known to be a flexible, productive and universal choice for high-quality laser processing of a wide range of material types and thicknesses including brass, copper, titanium, and even tube profiles with the RotoLas option. Fueled by a 3kW, 4kW, or 6kW TruDisk laser resonator, the system is energy and cost efficient as well as extremely easy to operate. The machine features a 120” x 60” working area and is also available with a wide variety of automation solutions, further increasing its level of productivity.

The redesigned TruBend 5130 precision press brake will also be on display in the TRUMPF booth at FABTECH Mexico. Its Servo Drive 4-cylinder drive technology is highly dynamic, extremely quiet in operation, and delivers significantly more productivity than a conventional drive. The press brake also features two innovative angle measuring systems: the established ACB (Automatically Controlled Bending) system takes measurements through sensors integrated into the upper tool, while the new ACB Laser system measures the bending angle through a contactless optical process making it compatible with any tooling. The bending process is facilitated by the new Touchpoint TruBend control offering exceptionally realistic 3D visualization on a multi-touch screen.

The TruPunch 2000 hydraulic punching machine features innovative on-demand drive technology which minimizes the energy consumption of the machine and the load on the system. The machine offers a 50 in. x 100 in. working range and can process material up to 0.250 in. thick. As part of the TruPunch product portfolio, fabricators also profit from impressive axes speeds, high maximum stroke rates, and short setup times. With full 360° tool rotation and tabbed sheet automation capabilities, the TruPunch 2000 is flexible as well as accurate.

The TruMark 5010, on display in the TruMark Station 3000, is an all-in-one solution with a fiber laser, scanner, controls and internal focus position control integrated together. Since a separate power supply unit is not needed and the laser is air-cooled, the space-saving design is very easily integrated into production lines or a workstation. The infrared marking laser can be used to mark metal, plastic and organic materials, and performs especially well in deep engraving applications.

TRUMPF’s TruTool line of handheld power tools will complete the company’s display at FABTECH Mexico. Used in various applications worldwide, these innovative power tools offer a range of solutions for cutting, fastening, and beveling sheet metals. TRUMPF also offers the unique TruTool TSC 100 slat cleaner to quickly remove slag from the support slats of a 2D laser cutting machine.
