The TRUMPF TUSD Field Service Engineer (FSE) is a member of the OEM Technology Group.  We support TRUMPF Customers in North America (USA, CA, and MX) who utilize our lasers in “non-standard” applications.  Responsibilities and duties include: Traveling, installing, demonstrating, troubleshooting, and repairing Lasers & Systems and Teaching Laser Technology to customers & associates.  

Valid USA Drivers License and ability to obtain a passport, obtain a credit card and rent an automobile.  Unrestricted travel throughout Canada, USA, Mexico and some over-seas international travel.   Must be able to lift 70 pounds.  Computer proficiency and very strong electronics & controls knowledge with extensive troubleshooting skills is required.  Good mechanical proficiency with hand tools to include precision measurement tools.  Very good written & verbal communication skills are a must.  Ability to work with minimal supervision both independently and in a team environment.  Ability to provide on-call 24 hour telephone support when required. (Rotating On-Call Telephone support, approximately one week per month.  Additional compensation for On-Call.)  Required two year technical in Electronics or Laser Electro Optics or equivalent combination of work experience and training.  Previous CNC Machine service experience preferred.  TRUMPF product knowledge preferred.  Candidates who speak Spanish are strongly preferred.
