Container and steel construction

TRUMPF nibblers and shears cut manholes into prefabricated containers. They can also cut the manholes prior to finishing the container. Pre-fabrication on a stationary machine can be eliminated in either procedure guaranteeing plenty of freedom on-site.

Making manholes for containers

TRUMPF shears feature great flexibility in curves

Our shears and nibblers are perfect for making adjustments such as enlarging a cutout to fit. Cuts are burr-free and don't create sparks. Great flexibility in curves and low machine weight make it possible to cut even tight radii. Work preparation is a snap because tool-free sheet thickness adjustment is quick and easy with the height adjustment feature.

Thick sheet metal nibbler

Oxide-free weld seams

For sheet thicknesses from 0.2 to 0.4 inches in mild steel, our thick sheet nibblers can be used. Nibbling is distortion-free, does not create sparks and requires minimal force.

After the hole is prepared, welding begins. The weld seams are oxide-free with a low roughness depth. The process is gentle on the material. And the high quality weld seam is of particular advantage because it does not require refinishing. Work is performed in a single step.
