Demolition and tank disassembly
For demolition in particular, specialists like to have TRUMPF nibblers on the job. They do not produce dust or gas emissions and operate without sparks. When dismantling sheet metal containers or pipes, worker safety is important. Therefore, spark and emission-free mechanical processes like nibbling are preferred.
Work without sparks
Thanks to the versatility of TRUMPF nibblers, you can cut through weld seams, double sheets and corrugated sheet metal with ease. Drilling a small starting hole is enough to insert the tool. Then the machine nibbles through the sheet metal almost by itself. This results in high productivity.
With our nibblers, material is processes without distortion and sheets up to 0.4 inches thick can be disassembled. With the four cutting directions and the pivoting handle, you can work in nearly any position. Applications include floor-welded, battery and stainless steel tanks.
Disassembly in nuclear power plants
TRUMPF nibblers are also great for dismantle work in nuclear power plants. They typically produce fewer aerosols making significant savings possible by avoiding the need for special suction and filtration systems. Nibblers are also helpful in the dismantling of condensation pipes because the pipe coating cannot be exposed to thermal stress.
