Heating and air conditioning
In the area of heating and air conditioning, you are confronted with a variety of tasks. These include, installation of connector flanges for ventilation and heating shafts, preparation of interior cutouts for ventilation grates, lock seams and joining of sheet metal parts. With shears, slitting shears, seam lockers and joining presses from TRUMPF, you are always a step ahead. With shears, slitting shears, seam lockers and fasteners from TRUMPF, you are always a step ahead.
Accurate inner cutouts
To insert a ventilation grate in a duct and inner contour must be prepared. Adjustments must be made accurately in order to finish the cutout quickly. The cuts must be made without deformation - a perfect application for our slitting shears. They can "clip off" the chip at any time enabling you to pull the machine out of the workpiece.
With the clearly visible markings on the cutting head, precise reinsertion is easy. Slitting shears can also handle multiple sheet thicknesses for short periods. For example, when cutting spiral ducts seams can sometimes be up to four sheets thick.
High curve and radial flexibility
At times it is necessary to reduce a sheet metal part with a large diameter to a smaller diameter - for example, when making funnel shapes. With our shears, there is always a clear view of the cut line and work can be performed accurately, even over head. In processing pipe segments these advantages are particularly noticeable.
Flat trimming on walls and ceilings
With the TruTool S 114 trimming shears, you can cut projecting pipe, straight sheet metal and even C, L or U profiles. This is possible even when the projections are in a corner or in hard to reach areas. The interference contour is only 1.2 inches, and even larger projections can be cut off in a single step.
Use in straight and curved ducts
In addition to channels, pipe systems in air conditioning and ventilation systems can also be processed. Locking of Pittsburgh seems is often required in corners. Parts needed for this procedure must be prepared in advance by machine and then assembled on site.
Closing the seams is done by a self-powered and nearly silent rolling glide process without applying any force. Automatic sheet thickness adjustment and a self-powered drive result in a consistent seam.
Don't lose time with Li-Ion batteries
Connector flanges for ventilation and heating channels can also be prepared at the construction site using our lithium-ion battery tools. These batteries dispense power consistently and have no memory effect.
Joining is probably the simplest and most cost-effective way to connect two metal parts: no screws or rivets, no preparation or finishing work, and no emissions. In channel construction where all-around processing is often required, the adjustable handle option is a good choice.
